Connect Your Systems with Payvala

Payvala Partner APIs provide a secure and structured way for partner organizations to connect their applications, business systems, and operational processes with Payvala services. Through Partner APIs, approved partners can establish system-to-system communication and access the Payvala capabilities made available for their integration.

Partner integration follows a controlled access and onboarding process. After the required access is approved, Payvala provides the credentials and integration details needed to establish authenticated communication with the supported APIs. Partners can then develop and test their integration in the appropriate environment before moving the approved solution to production.

Built for Secure API Integration

The Payvala Partner Management API is a web-based API designed for secure and controlled communication between approved partner systems and Payvala services.

The API follows standard web technologies and security practices, with defined protocols, authentication, data formats, supported methods, and rate-limiting controls.

  • Web-based API

A web-based API that allows approved partner systems and applications to communicate with Payvala services.

  • REST

The API follows the REST approach, providing a standard way for partner systems to interact with Payvala through web-based requests.

  • HTTPS

All API communication uses HTTPS to protect data while it is transferred between partner systems and Payvala services.

  • GET & POST

The API supports GET and POST methods for retrieving information and sending requests to supported Partner API operations.

  • OAuth 2.0

Protected API resources use OAuth 2.0 with the Client Credentials Grant to authenticate approved partner applications.

  • JSON

API requests and responses use JSON to provide a clear and consistent format for exchanging information between systems.

  • UTF-8 Encoding

API data uses UTF-8 encoding to ensure text and characters are represented consistently when information is exchanged.

  • Rate Limiting

API usage is controlled by rate limits that define how many requests can be made within a given minute or hour.

Your Integration Environment

Partner API integrations are developed, tested, and operated within the environments made available for your integration. Each environment has its own configuration, access credentials, and usage requirements.

Use the environment appropriate to the current stage of your integration and keep environment-specific credentials and configuration separate. The exact environments and access details applicable to your integration will be confirmed during the onboarding and configuration process.

For a detailed explanation of the available environments and how to move your integration through the required stages, see the Developer Quickstart.

Test Your Integration Before Going Live

Once your partner access and authentication are configured, you can test the Partner APIs using the environment and API resources provided for your integration.

Use the protected API documentation available after login to obtain the endpoint, authentication requirements, request format, and response information required for each API operation.

  1. Choose an API

Select the Partner API operation that matches your integration requirement.

  2. Review the Documentation

Review the API method, endpoint, required headers, parameters, request body, authentication requirements, and response details.

  3. Configure Your Environment

Use the environment and integration configuration provided for your approved partner access.

  4. Authenticate the Request

Include the authentication information provided for your integration and environment.

  5. Send the Request

Send the API request using your application or API testing tool.

  6. Review the Response

Check the response status and returned data to verify that the API request behaved as expected.

  7. Build & Validate

Use the validated API behavior to implement and verify the integration in your application.

Actual endpoints, credentials, authentication values, and environment-specific configuration are provided through protected partner resources after access is approved.

Authentication

Partner APIs use OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials Grant to authenticate approved partner applications and provide controlled access to protected Payvala API resources.

After receiving the credentials and integration details provided for your approved integration, your application authenticates with Payvala and obtains an access token. The token is then used when making authenticated requests to the supported Partner APIs.

Additional security controls may apply to your integration based on the approved configuration. These requirements are covered in the Security documentation.
